What is TWELVE?
TWELVE is a collection of original songs penned by Singer/Songwriters, Rachel Barrentine and Jill Miller based on the 12 steps of recovery. From anxiety to anger to alcohol to insecurity — we all have issues. TWELVE is a soundtrack of encouragement. As Rachel and Jill put it, "We want these to be your fight songs; your battle cries of truth in the midst of your freedom process. As you listen and sing along, we pray you are overwhelmed by the personal presence and power of God."
Rachel Barrentine is an award-winning Singer/Songwriter/Speaker who’s passion is to ignite fresh faith through music, speaking, writing, and laughter. Her journey through years of persistent illness has deepened her faith, music, and messages. Rachel is known for her honest, down-to-earth approach. Full of joy, Jesus, coffee, and animation, Rachel skillfully invites her audiences into deeper, bolder places with God.
Rachel's link to recovery ministry started a few years ago when she was invited as a guest to sing for a Celebrate Recovery meeting in Phoenix, AZ. She fell in love with the real people, casual atmosphere, and Jesus-saturated principles. She began sharing her story and music all over the United States for various Celebrate Recovery groups, and later worked through the 12-step process for her own personal growth. Her music resonates on the common human experience of pain, but it doesn't leave you there. It is her joy to point people to the faithfulness of God: even in the midst of pain, even while you're waiting on a miracle, even when the road or outcome is unclear.
She lives in Nashville, TN with her brainy husband, Derek, and their beloved old dog, Joey Smiley Wiggle Socks.

Jill is a songwriter, an award-winning speaker, an author, and is also certified through the John Maxwell Team. She is high-energy onstage, has a contagious spirit, and has continually been called the Energizer Bunny!
She is passionate about helping people fall deeper and deeper in love with Jesus as she candidly shares her personal journey through infertility, adoption, divorce, a father with dementia, and the everyday struggles of life. Her infectious passion helps others find hope and joy on the journey.
Jill was asked to sing at a Celebrate Recovery event five years ago, and she instantly felt at home, having gone through codependency treatment during her first husband’s recovery from addiction. Jill loved her many years in 12-Step programs because of the honesty and authenticity. She brings that honesty and depth into her ministry as she reconnects with the recovery community across the country.
Jill and her husband John live in the cornfields of Iowa with their two rescue dogs, Willie and Waylon. Their four adult sons all live in the same community, which makes Jill’s heart very happy! Jill does, however, long for a daughter-in-law soon so there’s a little more estrogen in the mix!
